Figured it was time to make a business card. Something crazy. So I figured I'd draw something like this. Sometimes it's good to let your imagination run wild lol Can't wait to get some of these business cards printed up. Well, hope you guys dig it. Peace :)-GIO

It's a real cool image...But

It's a real cool image...But what does it say? What does it tell the viewer that you do? where will your pertinent information go? etc. just playing the devil's ad game here.

Glad ya asked man. The info is going to go on the back. I wanted the image to pull the person in and make them WANT to turn the card over and BAM there's my info lol William Giovanni AKA GIO Illustrator/Sequential Artist for hire yatta yatta yatta and so on and so forth here lol My name is on her blindfold. I'm thinking of toning down the dreamy effect. Not sure yet. I'm kinda addicted to the dreamy effect. Gives my CG a sense of ambience (or is that spelled Ambiance lol) Glad ya liked it bro! :) If you think the dreamy effect should be tuned down alittle let me know.

well...yes. tune down the dream effect. also I have to ask if you're a sequential artist for hire...where is the sequence? It's just one picture. Which is why I'd tune down the blur. Make that picture pop.

Good idea about the back. I like it.

I hate when people use there own art to explain something to me [as an artist] but please excuse this instance. My business card is a drawing of my big stupid head saying "JB" in a word balloon [which clearly shows I draw cartoons]. all of my business info is crammed on the front. The back is just a solid blue to offset the yellow/orange on the front. 9 time out of 10. after they see the front, read my info, promise to check out my work. They flip it over and say something to the effect of "hey...this is classy", 4 times out of 9 I get asked about making that person's business card. and probably half of them follow through and hire me. And I don't even like making them! Just my two cents. Take it how you will.

Thanks for your two cents I appreciate me bro. I tuned down the dreamy effect.
And to answer your question, I'm not only a sequential artist for hire, I'm an illustrator for hire. This CG is to show off the illustrative aspect of what I have to offer. If you goto my site and read Session 3 of my graphic novel Eternal ( or buy it on here :)) then you can see my sequential art capablities. If anyone else wants to see my sequential artwork, then they can flip over my card, type in my official site's address and blamo, there's my sequential artwork there for them to see.

I'm going to make my money more from CG than sequential art becuase I'm able to crank out more CG than I can Sequential art. That's why I made one powerful image to display my CG ability. Again, thanks for checkin it out man. Hope ya dig the change I made.

OK. I can dig that. Did you change it? I like it better, but can't tell if it's different because there is only one card at the top of the chain here. I might just like it better because you've explained away my concerns. Though our name looks clearer to me now.

Yeah I made the adjustments you mentioned. I took away the dream effect. I made a more recent fix that's not here. I took away the darkening shade near the bottom of her face. A friend told it looked like she had stuble lol. So yea. Again, thanks for the feedback and referal :)

have it printed on thick stick like 10lb matte [i think that's what it's called]...it may look good on glossy too. Just don't skimp on the quality. It's cheap enough as it is price wise to splurge a bit.
